Its not for the day itself. Its for the convenience factor. It think it's communist to only give us one day. They should make it a two day celebration. As it is, it signifies the fact that we get the freedom to go out, drink our asses off, and go to work the next day and feel like shit the rest of the week. I'll give up New Year's for July 5th. That's American.
