That is some driving. But its an excellent opportunity to take a lot of backroads and psuedo highways that make this state so beautiful. In fact, I'll probably hook a right on 12 at San Marcos, hit the Devil's Backbone, wind my way down 281, hit 46, and take 16 into Bandera. It's out of the way but worth it.
